Events & Rentals

From eclectic park festivals to world-renown Tennis and Music events, live concerts at the Libbey Bowl, and community programming, downtown Ojai offers a wide range of free and low-cost entertainment options. In addition, the City contracts with Sterling Ventures for a commercial concert series that brings more than a dozen commercial concerts to the Bowl each year.

Portions of Libbey Park and the Libbey Bowl are available to rent by not-for-profit groups on a space-available basis. You will find more information on Park rentals here. The Parks and Recreation Department also rents indoor and outdoor spaces at Sarzotti Park, appropriate for family gatherings and events without amplified music.

  • Races, parades, and events impacting Ojai streets, sidewalks, or the bike path may require an encroachment permit from the Public Works Department or Caltrans. Please start by completing a Special Event Application and we will let you know what City permits are needed.
  • The City needs proof of all Food and Alcohol permits prior to your event. Issued by the County and the State, these may take a few months to acquire, so start early.
  • Sarzotti Park Events and rentals are managed by the Recreation Department.
  • Events taking place at a private business are managed by the Community Development Department.
